Abstract

Introduction: Psychogenic polydipsia is a prevalent yet often underdiagnosed condition among individuals with psychiatric disorders. Left untreated, it can lead to severe complications, although these are rare. Case series: We presented three cases examining the occurrence of psychogenic polydipsia in patients with psychiatric disorders to elucidate its clinical features and therapeutic approaches within this specific population. Addressing the unique challenges it poses in patients with psychiatric disorder necessitates a comprehensive understanding of its manifestations and management. Conclusion: The presented cases underscore the urgency for increased awareness among mental health professionals, early identification of polydipsic symptoms, and tailored treatment strategies.
