Abstract

Vesicovaginal Fistula (VVF) is widely encountered in developing countries, with various treatment developments, and no optimal technique has been found. The study aims to provide research trends on vesicovaginal fistula. Using the Scopus database, we searched the literature from 2013 to 2024. VOSviewer was used to report annual publications, nations, organizations, writers, journals, keywords, and references. Scopus released 826 publications between 2013 and 2024, consisting of 746 papers and 80 reviews. Most research was conducted in developed countries such as the United States of America (USA), the United Kingdom (UK), and developing countries such as India. Initially, research focused on several keywords such as surgical procedures, demographic risk factors, treatment outcomes, and types of fistulas, but shifted towards diagnostic methods to support treatment, quality of life, and risk factors. There are changes in topics in the field of VVF, which indicate the development of research..
