Primary Fused Teeth: A Comprehensive Case Series with Clinical Insights

Abstract
Introduction - Fusion occurs when two tooth germs that are normally separated join. Depending on the developmental stage of the tooth, it can either be complete or incomplete. Fusion can have an impact on a child's oral health. These abnormalities are associated with several clinical consequences, including dental caries, malocclusions, periodontal issues, and anomalies in the permanent dentition. Case Series - The current paper presents three paediatric patients with primary fused teeth (PFT) associated with missing permanent teeth. Clinical and radiographic follow-up was performed every 3 months to monitor the tooth development. No clinical or radiological symptoms were noted during the follow-up visits. Conclusion - This article discusses therapeutic care, consequences, and potential ramifications of PFT on permanent successors through three cases of fusion. PFT could necessitate interdisciplinary care to prevent and manage any potential issues in the primary teeth as well as their permanent successors. Hence, PFT should be detected at the earliest.
